@ImperialistRunningDo hey dumbass...i said most were african....dumbass
-
And Wes Studi, he's African too then?
-
@ImperialistRunningDo hey dumbass....the african-americans are african....dumbass.
-
@kemetkush Neytiri was played by Zoe Saldana, born in New Jersey. Mo'at -- C. C. H. Pounder (Guyana). Eytukan -- Wes Studi (Cherokee). Tsu'tey -- Laz Alonso (Washington DC). So which one is African?
-
James Cameron based the idea for 'Avatar' after spending his early years observing the destruction of the South American rain forests, and based the movie squarely and solidly on that concept, also using aspects of the plains Indians' lifestyle, to create the Nar'vi. Cameron is an active member of the Amazon Watch organization and currently working on stoppage of a Dam project which will displace a lot of people who's land is vanishing, like the Ice-Caps. Nothing in Africa compares to this.

Wait a minute... im about to have a wife!
-
@slideharp1 you must've been watching a different movie then.

@kemetkush You must've been watching a different movie then.
-
@slideharp1 no, they were not...they were african and african-americans...
-
@kemetkush No, they were nearly all Americans.
-
@slideharp1 most of the natives in avatar.... was played by african-actors and african-actress.
-
This is what is lacking in the West...Culture worth saving.
-
@Marcusjulianus Yes! "The Emerald Forest" is a great movie and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Cameron saw it - a very close parallel. I'd forgotten that one, good call.
-
Anyway, those African women have so awesome and sexy legs!
-
There is also a parallel with the Amazonian indians. According to Wikipedia (english), besides Dancing with wolves, there are also movies like "The Emerald Forest" and "At Play in the Fields of the Lord" both taking place in Amazonia, that inspired Avatar.
-
@slideharp1 lol, "GO" get a life
-
@Bsmurfdizzle Avatar is Not a parallel with Africa - it's a parallel with the North American Indians. Were you not capable of seeing this?
-
@Zirious23 Fuck off, you slope-headed snot. Go read some history.
-
@Daela2007 i think it was the white women that couldnt leave the blacks alone
-
@kermitdfrogz So what is your point? What does the population of Africa have to do with this marriage ceremony? You sound very out of place already.
-
Everyone:
Zulus, Massai, and others like this actually represent less than one half of one percent of the content of Africa's population; but you'd never know it because of The West's propaganda of bombarding this image of Africa to the world.
Learn and expand your minds before it's too late.
The movie is as indicated - Zulu

put the movie in its historical context - circa 1870's. if it was contemporary story - and this was "disneyland" in South Africa, then your comment is appropriate.
