@kevnar What's so hard about clicking when your sword icon is in flames to make long combos?

@shivnz ok being nine monthes old no one will probibly give this any heed but I want to throw in my two cents, 1. da2 makeing things awsom at the pres of a button is a GOOD thing if fights are going to be about presing a button a lot the event onfoldeng should be AWESOME.

I'm on Youtube trying to find a tutorial for combat in this game because I only got one little text blurb about how to fight and it didn't work. So I've been just going through the game holding the mouse button down on enemies until they die. Boring as hell, and frustrating. I'm told there's a trick to it. But the FUCK do I have to look it up outside the game to figure it out? That definitely counts as a fail. It's non-intuitive (fail!) and the in-game tutorial sucks (double fail).

@shivnz No, No it doesnt. Witcher 2's combat, graphics, story and setting is far superior to the first. The only thing the first witcher has over the second is the character. Geralt is more of a witcher in the first game.

I can't fight without using the sign...!!!! how i can deactivate the sign to fight only with the sword?

@digdig66 Way to be SUPER original.

@digdig66 You obviously don't know any good games.
The Witcher 2 beats the shit out of this game.

@StudioHizu nah it doesnt. witcher 2 is a really good game, and im not far enough through it yet to say if its better, but I definately wouldnt say it 'beats the shit' out of the first one. On atmosphere alone, id say the first one has the edge.

fighting is so fucking gay, consists of clicking a guy and keep clicking when your sword is flaming...
I pre ordered witcher 2 without playing the first one. If the second adopts the same combat system I'm cancelling my pre order. RPG's should be click to swing, not target then timing to swing.

@leaf16nut perhaps try a bioware rpg like da2. those are really easy and require no skill or effort. just press a button and something awesome happens.

@shivnz
So witcher requires skill... hahaha, you still click the mouse button over and over. You just have to click when prompted, leaving you watching your cursor instead of how the enemies are attacking, when to dodge and which move to do... If anything that makes the game require less skill, as it tells you exactly when to attack.
Thank god I only payed 5 bucks on steam at the time, cause this game is fucking shit.

@leaf16nut just because you cant keep track of more than one thing at a time, doesnt mean the rest of us cant. i dont think anyone else had any trouble managing style switches, timing, or enemy awareness all at the same time... i suppose spamming mouse clicks to attack takes more skill? or just the rpgs where you click once and let the game autokill the target for you? I never said witcher required skill, only that the kind of rpg mechanics you want (one click and forget) require less.
