Abraham Lincoln was an ambitious intellectual with a common touch, who's commitment to human freedom would define his nations vision for the 20th century.

  • @Yahiko25 I think I get what you are saying and you are right. A president is suppose to work the biggest issues while in office, and if he doesn't know about any information that would help the issue, then learn and research the issues, just don't take advice or you might be a fool if an advisor might be corrupted. When Grant was president, he had many corrupted advisor problems. I think Lincoln did not want to be another Franklin Pierce, who is weak and can be bullied.

  • @KayBeeEee1983 You are the ignorant one. I thought the Union won the war and the southern states are still part of America, but you are still confused in that area. So since I am going to a southern state, I guess I need to get my passport when I enter Florida. You are the ignorant one who likes pussy presidential leaders and hates great presidential leadership TO AND FOR HIS COUNTRY. McClellen met Lee's army a dozen times but failed to capture, kill or make Lee surrender.

  • @lastminuteregret As I said, they are different states with different economies, both of which were morally wrong. Southern States with slavery = morally wrong. Using Children to work at factories = morally wrong. USA was most likely the last country to utilise slaves, which would have been phased out anyway due to industrialisation taking place. You stated historians disagree with me entirely, yet you don't put up factual but opinionated points.

  • Mr.Lincoln was one of the best presidents we ever had.

  • @redrooster241 Most historians disagree with you entirely. The divide existed long before Lincoln, he was only the trigger to the events that would have eventually come anyway. This country had set itself up for implosion, I just thank God we had a man strong enough to prevent it from utterly destroying us.

  • @PrinceSamanti It's a pretty impressive history to rise in 250 years to dominate the globe.

  • American are so funny !

They are so naive and they love to glorify their past history......

  • The American glorification of Lincoln is, sadly, too typical of the revisionism and propagandist mythology that characterizes the hypocrisy, contradictions & hidden-agenda of Americvan politics. There was a time when I wouldn't have questioned this 'noble' caricature of Lincoln as a valiant defender of human & civil rights. But now I realize there is MUCH more to this story, that actually Lincoln promoted Banking Syndicate, Federal PTB, MIC, Global Elites & Corporatism. We ALL lost via that war.

  • Redrooster don't know shit

  • Abraham Lincoln should not be revered as much as the population does. This man was one of the causes of the American Civil War as it could have easily been avoided. If slavery was that cruel and not humane, why don't you look the the Union's industrialisation- (American Industrial Revolution) which used children to work. I think slaves would be a better alternative than child labour. Slavery would have phased out anyway, as the rest of the world have already stopped the use of slavery.

  • NOW YA FUCKED UP

  • @ConstantineJoseph Well the War origionaly wasn't about Slavery. They south Always said it's about tax and tariffs and what ever, but they were afraid of losing their slaves which helped generate their money. Lincoln even said he wouldn't free slaves if the South would stay. But they didn't, then they attacked fort Sumter like a bunch of dumb asses proclaiming their hostility, then Abe had no choice but to attack. Britain, the largest Empire ever, didn't use slaves since 1833.
