Chemical Plant is pretty much like a big racetrack; hit a spring, and watch Sonic spin like hell. But make sure you can try to control it, or you'll get caught in a glitch and never get out, almost like what happened to me, except I was able to get out of the thing. Chemical Plant is one of two zones in this game to have water, but luckily, you're not in it much, except for a small section in Act 2.

Badnik Watch
Spiny - these guys cling to the floor and walls, and when you're near, they'll launch a small bomb from the spikes on their head.
Grabber - like real spiders, they cling to ceilings, and when you're directly under one, they'll come down and grab you, and keep you in its grip long enough to self-destruct and damage you.

Robotnik Toxic
Hits: 8

For the boss, you stand on a platform in the middle, while smaller platforms turn up and down and dump you into the pit below, but if you stay on the middle platform, you'll be fine. Robotnik drops a pipe into the water and the toxic waste gathers in a cup, which he'll use to dump on you, so just rolling spin past it when he prepares to drop it, and continue on to defeat him.

Aquatic Ruin is the 2nd and final zone of the game to feature water, but if you stay on the high routes, you'll most likely avoid it 90% of the time. Small stone Robotnik faces light up on the ancient pillars and fire an arrow out once you've passed them, so be sure to avoid getting hit from that little sneak attack.

And while we're at it, we complete our collection of all seven Chaos Emeralds, With all seven emeralds and 50 rings in hand, one simple jump will turn Sonic bright yellow, giving you control over the powerful Super Sonic...but due to getting hit earlier, we'll have to wait until next time to see him make quick work of things on Westside Island.

Badnik Watch
Grounder - just like the burrobots before them, Grounder like to hide in walls instead of the ground, but they also patrol the upper areas of the zone.
Whisp - these fly-like badniks are always in groups of three, and they love to follow you around too, so destroy them or they can get pretty annoying.
Chop Chop - a piranha-type badnik that always dwells in Aquatic Ruin's underwater sections, and they'll charge after you once when you're in their sights.

Robotnik Totem
Hits: 8

For the boss, Robotnik flies out of your reach as two stone totem poles come up from the ground, trapping you inside. The doc slams a giant hammer on once of the poles, causing an arrow to fly from one of the stone mouths, and into the other right across it. Use the arrows as steps to attack the machine and cause Robotnik to retreat.
