i know how you feel....and the constant on and off rain was terrible....our unit was told no canvas so we didnt bring any...we get there...everyone from the unit we fell in with had a tent...so the first night i woke up in a puddle with half my powder in with it...but it was a fun event.

26th NC field music. yeah, that creek sucked. When they put the little crappy bridge in there, it almost made it worse.

It was funny because on Thursday evening our Colonel (of the Independent Guard Battalion)said to us, "Well, I've been ordered to march us across the creek for Friday night's battle in a line of battle... But here's what we're REALLY going to do." We ended up stepping over a dry spot in a column. and then went by company into line after we crossed. So we avoided getting our feet soaked for the most part.

I am in the 19th Indiana, and that day we portrayed the 8th Ohio, and we swept down to flank the rebs and I and a couple of other guys captured some rebs just a few yards away from you, gwainjar07

That creek sucked. Of course the Yanks got a bridge on day 2, the sutlers, and the battlefield only 200 yards away. They got everything. But it was an awesome show. 7th Tennessee Co. A!
