This clip documents 'My Saxophone Journey' as recorded/edited by my son, Mr. R (aka 'The electronic Genius')... Visit his channel at: www.youube.com/user/MacEqualsHappiness0
This clip captures the first year (2010) of me developing my musical skills on the sax and filming the progress made. Hopefully, viewing this clip will provide personal inspiration and possibly inspiration to others who have decided to learn how to play a musical instrument (young and old). Let the journey continue.......

  • I'm just now breaking out my tenor after a few years and I happened to stumble across your videos. You've come a long way and I love how accepting you are of criticism.

I noticed you having some trouble on the low end, mainly because I noticed myself having the same trouble after some time away from the horn. The lower register requires a ton of air support, so really belt out those low tones. Once you get the air support mastered you can focus on the dynamics.

    Great job, keep it up!

  • @bvarner6 Thanks for taking the time to listen and provide your welcomed feedback....yet another area I need to work on :-) but I'm enjoying the challenge. Hope to see you posting some of your stuff now that you've pulled your tenor out of captivity...Keep the comments and music flowing.....

  • Hey Bro! This is awesome and off da chain! Loved "Stolen Moments". Keep it up, please. Mr. R did a great job. Will keep tuned in. This is inspirational from you on the journey and the production. Gotta go pull out my horn and practice now!

  • @Cyclenut4 - Thanks for the positive feedback and YES, pull out that horn and make some music...record it when you get the chance. Good Luck...

  • This is a very good idea!! I really enjoyed this one... Let the Journey continue my Friend!!

  • @TheJazzsaxo - Thanks for your comment and continued encouragement. Looking to hear move from you and your horn....

  • Looking good cousin, makes me wanna get back into it once again! Keep up the great work and awesome journey! KG

  • Nice job! Mr. R did a great job putting the journey together.

You can really see the progress in your playing.

    Keep posting!

  • @curtnizz - The editing is the work of my son, Mr. R. aka my technology consultant. All I can tell you is that he downloaded all my youtube videos, merged parts of the videos as I requested of him somehow, used the song Mercy Mercy Mercy I requested as a music filler between my video clips, added some graphics, using a Mac computer with the latest IMovie software, maybe he did more but I can't be sure - easier said than done I suspect, at least for me, not him. Thx for your feedback
