The recipe is at organizeworkorhome.com Pupusas are homemade corn tortillas stuffed with meat and cheese. They are a typical ethnic food from El Salvador. They are yummy!

  • Thank you for your comments and for the information. I was aware that they do so, but was looking for a faster, quicker way to make them...as I am the queen of efficient...lol

  • The meat is already cooked...then I run it through a meat processor, mix it with cheese, and add sauce and mix it all together. The complete recipe with instructions is at my website...

  • And I love cooking and eating your food! Pupusas are the best!

  • Preziosa--you must be an efficient person...I am always looking for ways to shorten or eliminate steps...

  • Have you tried this recipe? This IS the easiest and healthiest way to make Pupusas.

  • the reason why traditionally they put all the ingredients in different containers is because some people only like cheese, other only beans, others only beans and meat, or all 3 together, so the cooks would be making them upon request. Taking in consideration you are not native to this type of cooking let me tell you something, You do and awesome job!! My mom makes a creamy filing by blending the meat with a tomato, onion, garlic and bell-pepper (might be the equivalent to your sauce) and beans

  • Was the meat already cooked or does the meat cook when u making the pupusa?

  • If I didn't know better, I would have thought this was a Saturday Night Live skit. Try to stick to tradition.

  • Omg never seen white ppl make pupusas lol GOOD JOB!! you shud try makin them without the plastic :)

  • I love watching gringos try to cook our food.
