You got some point in your words. It is strange when I think about it, but I remember what it is and can explain:
In the upper floor there's a hidden place, some sort of tunnel that you can go in and get some bugs or something. When you go there, you get to draw the attention of the bats downstairs somehow. Then they fly above and you can kill them there, so that's what I did.
