I am such an idiot. As a long time John Hartford fan and a frequent Merlefest visitor, I thought I had acquainted myself with all the great pickers/singers in the country but I only started listening to Tim after running across this video and find it so tasteful and authentic. I am a happy man, today.

sorry, chirfu, he,s a good picker know doubt, he sings this song telling us he knows the words. and thats all, no feeling, sorry, compare this with any version of johns, tim has no feeling in his voice , he knows the words, and thats all he knows, there is no love there
