@PLimaFerro The first song is a genre called Western Swing. The syncopated rhythm is swing, and of course you hear the country feel. It's an awesome genre with all kinds of this stuff.

Modes9 I'm not knockin you for giving it to Scotty, he is one of my favorites too. But, upper echelon players like Scotty, Brent, Danny, Jerry Donahue, Albert Lee, Jerry Douglas, Mark O'Connor etc.. needn't be compared or rated. They are all " The Man " thumbpick or not, and each brings something original to the table. I'm going to listen to all of them, 'cause they are all great.

its amazing how some people can distinguish between the genius of Scotty Anderson and Brent Mason. NOBODY is better than the other AT THIS LEVEL. Different...sure. Both are God-like.
