  • are the drafting and 2D features leaving behind this version? excuse my bad english

  • @gnolaum01

"Drafting" is getting a major update -- and the Layout Mode is being integrated directly into the Modeling environment. This is currently a work in progress, but you should see development on this being released in the next few updates.

Feel free to sign up for the free Beta version if you like right here:

  • OMG...it looks like Bonzai3d on steriods...cool...that should help the transition from Bonzai3D to FormZ 7....this is just amazing....and it works really well with Modo.

And beats Sketchup into the ground...So much better.

  • @jetsonjoe #2

YES, formZ 7 leverages the updated and improved interface that was tested and approved by tons of bonzai3d users. Now making 3D is so much easier -- and faster!

Feel free to sign up for the Beta (if you have not done so already) and you can use it for FREE!

Also, the bonzai3d videos will apply ~95% to formZ 7, so feel free to check out those videos if you have not done so already.

    Enjoy!

  • really...finally here...really...

and bonzai3d...is slow...slowly...gaining ...momentum...which is good...so when does bonzai3d get updated to reflect new formz 7 update.

  • @jetsonjoe

YES, we have been beta testing formZ 7 for the last 6 months, and the beta is now available for free to the general public. You can sign up for this here if you like:

Bonzai3d will be updated with more tools and features in the next couple of months as formZ 7 is finalized and released.

The momentum is indeed building! :)

  • Please check out some of the products i have designed here using sketchup and see how Form.Z and Bonzai3D this would help me even more.

  • on paper* so to speak. I know you guys might hate me saying this, Its not sketchup pro. but as far as the ease of use is concerned and UI(to a certain extent). its like Sketchup Pro on steroids.

  • @theogschwind He is like the Yoda of tutorials. i just came across Bonzai and im a furniture designer. I used sketchup pro because of its UI and snap-features plus guides feature. but Form.z specifically the new Form.Z 7 is probably thee best 3D modeler for designers, specially designers that are not too 3D savvy (with the terminologies etc.), It gives people that didnt go to college for it but have the talent creative ability and ideas, to go ahead and get whats in there head one paper

  • Matthew, you are great: I like your style of presentation - you are my star!
