  • I will have to visit the museum sometime. might be wrong but I believe the only factory authorised Bing carb service center is in Council Grove Kansas.

Might be nit picking but would be helpfull to anyone looking for service on one.

It also looks like the carb on my NSU Prinz.

    Great video's.

  • @reltiv Thank you.

  • Neat stuff , Chuck, but even 10 parts wouldn't be enough.

By the way, a Messerschmitt was prominently featured in the quirky 80's flick "Brazil".

As always, thanks for your good work,

    Rich

  • @Ricopolico It's nice hearing from you again. Brazil is one of my favorite, "No Hope" movies. I watch it every time it is on.

  • This is brilliant, real gems. But, somehow, I cann't stop giggling because all these Messerschmitts keep reminding me of Steve Urkel. Just imagine him racing in sports model (or the one that he had on 1/4 mile race in the show)

Anyway, I realy enjoyed this video and I admire the enthusiasm of Ken and the team.

  • @BarbaShime Hi Jurica- I'll have to look up Steve Urkel. In these 2 videos of the Small Wonders Museum we have only looked at 1/3 of the collection. On another note I saw the Porsche Hybrid today and spoke with the Porsche Racing spokesperson. I'll have that video up hopefully tomorrow.

    Regards,

    Chuck

  • seems appropriate to drive a smart car there.

  • did he say crystle lake woods!?

  • I owned a Heinkel in the late 60's great on fuel but handling was better when you had 2 onboard and the cable operated gears were very fussy when it went out of adjustment

  • Isetta700 is right. BMW had the licence from Iso. Heinkel had an Isetta-like front door, but it didn't have the articulated steering column that swung with the door because Iso held the patent for that and BMW had the licence to use it.

  • @jayocular Yes, you are right and yes I know. What happened: a couple is Isetas (or/and lookalikes:Heinkel) are featured in this video (at : 0:48, 3:31...). Once I've seen them, what triggered my gigle was the "race version". Only this race version is somewhat puny compared to Urkel's Isseta race (top fuel dragster) version lol. Something similar: /watch?v=T3VDk1lidhU

  • @BarbaShime the car he drove was a bmw isseta

  • Forgive me for noticing, but no rides this time, lol.
