Cont. If they then tell you to prove god didn't. Well we all know the answer to that asinine reply. Although a rudimentary knowledge of evolution is advisable, and I can see where you're coming from. I don't think we have to bend over backwards to debate with creationists in any way. They bend over for god, so they had better do the bending to defend it. just my opinion though.

I don't know if this has been mentioned in an earlier comment, but I'm not so sure responding to the theist eventual mention of evolution is necessary. After they bring it up, why not calmly ask them what the fuck does evolution have to do with atheism or if your god exists. If they say disproving evolution proves god, nicely say, o.k. For the sake of argument, evolution is wrong. Now prove god did it.

Good video. But we all know that logic and facts bounce off creationists like bullets on Superman lol. The youtube channel, WhyEvolutionIsTrue is one of my subs. Not sure if its the author of the book by the same name. But some great documentaries there.

@JabberCT I don't believe the YT channel "WhyEvolutionIsTrue" is by Jerry Coyne, however there is a blog by that name (good blog) and it is by Coyne. I agree with you that the WEIT channel has many informative videos - and that the info will largely bounce right off of creationists. However, there are "fence-sitters" out there, and they need access to factual material, so we're kind of obligated to provide it. Well... "obligated" if we give damn about things ever improving a bit!

I have read this book and love it. Easy to read and full of accessible data.

@CaptainGreen2008 Indeed. The other books I recall recommending in this video were similar in that respect, if you haven't read them.
