More Venezuela TVDX in Portugal

The Tves network (was RCTV till last year)ch A2 received in Portugal on 12th June 2008 at 19.15UTC.
The identification after the speech of Mr Chavez is at around 1min 32 seconds
I had to keep the picture quite dark,too much brightness gave a bad flicker due to
using a 625 line 25 frames camera with the signal being 525 line 30 frames per second

Como é que conseguiste isto? Com uma antena normal VHF? Como consegues receber sinais NTSC-M tens algum televisor específico para o efeito? Eu adorava conseguir uma proeza dessas, mas a zona onde estou não deve ser muito boa para isso, à uns anos atrás eu recebia sinais quase diários da RTM1 (marrocos) no canal 4 VHF.

Reception was using a 4 element band 1 antena

connected to a preamplifier.The

signal is then split and connected to a radio receiving the audio at 59.75MHz and also to

a TV with reduced IF bandwidth to increase the sensitivity.

The TV is a 625 line one but to receive 525

you just need to adjust the vertical frequency.

RTM1 Morocco channel 4 was from Layounne

but has now moved to channel 9.

Very cool and interessting! :) I'm not so pleased living in an appartment with no oportunities so mount antennas etc.

So that's why I've never received anything on channel 4 again, too bad,von summer days the signal was quite consistent, most of the time I even received it in colour, no special equipment just a regular C2-4 antenna pointed to lousã. (We receive RTP1 on C3 here). I guess I'll never receive foreign signals again. This week there has been intense tropo activity, TVI Lousã C32 is co-channeling from another distant transmitter of TVI making it unwatchable, tuning the tv shows nothing foreingn.
