The Thunderbirds (Singapore) - My Lonely Heart

The THUNDERBIRDS from Singapore performing "My Lonely Heart," their biggest hit.

"My Lonely Heart" (1966) by The Thunderbirds and "Shanty" (1964) by The Quests are considered by many die-hard fans of Singapore 60's Pop Music as the two most significant Singapore original compositions released during the Golden Era.

Harvey Fitzgerald, who co-wrote this song with Gerry Pasqual, sang on the hit recording, but has retired from the music business and is now living in Australia.

His brother, Derrick Fitzgerald, the lead guitarist, who immortalized this recording with his iconic slide guitar riffs, still leads The Thunderbirds in Singapore today.
