@fmldamnit: Not for years, but I have been searching for quiet a while too. I've played the Saint-Saens Variations with our brassband at the Dutch Championships 2009 and we won the contest in our division! :-)

i've been looking for this song for 9 years! i forgot who the composer was and all I knew was "poco adagio". i haven't heard it since i played in a junior high school orchestra. of course, this sounds much better. such a beautiful piece. thanks for sharing.
