This video shows an Optimized Hero ROM on the G1. After initial installation, it was quite laggy as seen in my previous video. I got it to run much better using 2 apps: SetCPU and Swapper. Enjoy

I have a 8 GB class 6 card. If you search online, you will find them for about $20. Honestly, to get a good experience with any Hero rom, you don't want to use anything less!

It is quite smood for a g1 but it isn't anywhere near smooder than a htc hero, ur phone is running at 528mhz!! My hero is running at 710mhz!! thats nearly a 200mhz difference, so the hero is definitely smooder. : )

finally got a recent root access to my white G1...after weeks of trying to figure everything out through posts, forums,Utube and of course my personal researches...finalyl, got Amon Ra recovery image, partitioned my SD and at this moment, the phone is flashing a hero ROM...lol but that looks soo sweeettt...
