"1812, national war" is a Russian movie by vassili Gontcharov made in 1912 by the Tsaristic Russia for the centenary of Borodino battle. It glorifies the heroïsm against Napoleon during the 1812 campaign. It's a nice realisation of 35 minutes with nice uniforms, battle, cavalry & cossacks charges, and Napoleon in the role of the defeated conqueror is well interprated.. difficult to invade Russia ! isn't it ?

  • Kutuzov, what a great general. The only realist in the Russian aristocratic army

  • @zenoist2

    Professional manufacturer of bullshits,

Bullshitting and plotting, a big part of your History, be proud.

  • Next year will be the bicentennial of it.

Huge celebrations througout Europe of this famous campaign.

Apart form France that is but theyre always party poopers.

  • @MaxRWF Can i get a source for the Istanbul would be a Russian city part?

  • is this real?

  • @NapoCinePedia As far as Moscow??????????????????

Russia was feudal and huge, Nappoleons invasion was but a mosquito bite and for him a horrendous loss of soldiers which could have used to defend his european gains. Hes should have sacked and burnt Vienna and Berlin also so that they could not backstab him and secure his hoaldings.

THe british where always moving in the background.

  • @am1966ath : men killed for the republicans ideas, so it was not for nothing

  • @MaxRWF You are probably right about that...rhe war of 1812 was meaningless,100000 of soldiers died and Moscow sacked for nothing.

  • It wasn't a "patriotic" war for Russia, the Russians were fooled by religious fanatism for the exclusive profit of England and the Russian aristocracy. Their national interest would be to ally with France to dismember the Ottoman Empire, that was the French proposal. Paul 1st was a great man, Alexander 1st was a francophobic moron. Now Istanbul would be a Russian city and a major sea power.

  • Thank you.
