Build your own flashback arrestor that keeps flames from traveling back into you bubbler / generator. Without a flashback arrestor it would be quite possible to blow up your generator. Stop those flames, don't risk your own saftey!

  • dude wont this corrode and get plugged up?

  • No, fine bronze wool is resistant to corrosion...

  • ok dude what is this suppose to do because i'm about to convert my car to run on hydrogen and i would like to know what this does

  • Do NOT try and hook up a generator without one of these. It is recommended to have a flash back arrestor and a safety bubbler, with some sort of blow out point if pressure builds up (like in an explosion).

  • I'm going to be using PEX for my FB arrestors in the future. I found 3 feet of 1/2" for 97 cents. So all I would need is that and a 1/4" to 1/4" barb. PEX can withstand higher temperatures than PVC, as it is often used for hot water lines in construction over copper. Mine are done right, don't worry. I fully test them.

I will be selling them too, so if anyone is interested they can send me a message. I'll sell them at $15 shipped with brass fittings, PEX tube and fine bronze wool.

  • Are you kidding me? The melting point of pvc is 80C and Nylong is 190C. The 80C isn't really the melting point but at that temperature it becomes "floppy" and changes state. Either way though, with the occasional flashback that gets put out almost instantly, it doesn't really matter what you use, plastic or metal.

Also you say "too many parts, not enough smarts." When I purchased parts, i went to a couple hardware stores and none had the right barbs so I had to use the male to female adaptor.

  • @asusreviews Well because I'm paranoia about flashback, What do you think about this setup?

From left to right all components in line:

HHO Generator - Dry Flashback - Bubbler - Dry Flashback - vehicle intake

Kind of redundant, but hey, safety first...? What do you think?

I am going to get an A/C signal and a Transformer and boost high voltage low current, then set a duty cycle by coiling stainless wiring on high temp high pressure PVC in a bubbler! :D

  • can i use stainless steel wool help me out

  • dude, you wrapped your teflon tape in THE WRONG DIRECTION!

  • i would also suggest using the cheaper Wall insulation materials or Heat insulation materials found on Ovens. They're great and wont corrode. Easily found on junk ovens.

  • Just seperate the gasses and there's no flashback

    just remove ^ space

  • @HammerFET O sry, didn't see that

  • @budabob07 I wasn't talking about him, I mean all the other people who are saying why not use steel wool.

  • @HammerFET Did you even watch the video? He said BRONZE WOOL probably 20 times.

  • Isn't steel wool flammable?

  • can you use fine steel wool? or fiber glass insulation?
