The NES (8-bit) version of this game is SUPERIOR to the snes and genesis (16-bit) versions.

When I had this game, I liked hearing the music on levels 1 and 6.

How do you make a Batman game into a shooting game?
-
@MikeTgf9606 That's probably because when this game came out, everyone was more focused on the new Super NES that was just released and nobody was really paying attention to NES games.

I cant believe I never heard of this NES game. I have loved the Batman saga ever since I was little. Why did you hsoot the blocks to get them to change letters before you took them? Curious about that

I don't know why I never heard of this, big fan of the first game. I love the way the boss talks in his walkie talkie to call in the drones. It's attention to detail like that which makes good games great. Something a lot of developers still don't get to this day.

this game is called Super Batman Contra
-
It looks like a Master System game.
Holy shit, imagine this was actually released on Master System....

I almost thought this was SNES because of these graphics. Very clever use of shading does a very good job disguising the NES' color limitations.

contra meets batman

@whaowman are they really that similar? Castlevania 1 is purposefully slow and ponderous, in batman run you up and punch shit a dozen times. Both amazing games, but I don't think they're clones just because they're platformers.
-
@whaowman You mean Sunsoft of Japan is THE shit!
I prefer the graphics of the first Batman on NES.

@BarbieChaite But Batman is two inches tall and Joker is a 7 foot monster. To each his/her own I guess.
