Chang hit the Nail on the head. If you do not like what the Word of God teaches, its your problem, not ours! She is a very wise woman!

I don't care if there are same-sex unions, but do not call it marriage and do not expect to do it in a church...
Why isn't the church allowed to retain something we hold dear without it being hijacked...

@59swl I don't see how that is offensive at all. What I think is offensive is how you tried to tie "conservative Anglicans" to racists. That is appalling. Many of these so called "conservative Anglicans" (who actually BELIEVE in the Bible) are extremely loving, understanding, and compassionate people, just as the Bible commands. You're just too stuck in your perceptions to realize that.

dacatholicbandorgan Your concern about Glendora is understandable. I think she was a good fairy in a Disney movie. Of course, you are incapable of understanding irony. No, I did not make a spelling error when I referred to Pope Joan. As I told you, look her up on Wikpedia. I see you pop up on disident Anglican sites. It is unlikely these parishes will unite with a church headed by a former son of Hitler Youth as they don't hate the Cof E, they only hate homos and women. Like the pope.

Lawyer Cheryl Maczko-Chang saying "I know many homosexual people" is meaningless. But the following line "I have deep special friends who are homosexual" is offensive. I heard similar remarks in the USA about white people toward African Americans. And now these ultra conservative Anglicans are now turning to the African church to help them out. Me thinks if this was 1955 or even 1966 many of these same Anglicans would have not sit in the same pew with a person of colour.
