Oh dear Emma I hope with your oh so passionate speech that you will either decline to go to the oscars next year or you will hand-glide or sail by boat to Hollywood which is on the next ocean on the left side if south America

@Smokefyre It's not about people needing to fly somewhere and not being able to. It's about airports expanding to have more traffic and therefore more money (you do know that companies pay for their planes to use airports, right? Or did you think it was all some sort of public service?). The point is, Heathrow serves the flying needs of people very well. What they are interested in is increasing traffic in their role as an international hub.
