I hate his vibrato, it's not very operatic for an operatic singer, although maybe he was holding back for musical theatre. Anyway bravo to him. Still hate his voice, but I'm glad someone from the opera world has won a Tony! Yahoo

He definitely deserved the Tony. I get chills just listening to him sing "Some Enchanted Evening"! He, and the rest of this wonderful cast, helped me to fall in love w/ South Pacific-- and I usually don't care for Roger's and Hammerstein-- but this is an incredibly well done revival!
