The day after 9/11. Stranded Americans congregate outside Buckingham Palace in London, England. They can't go home because a no-fly order is in operation. The Queen orders the Guards to play the Star Spangled Banner as a sign of the UK's sympathy for the USA. Even Prince Andrew can be seen stood to attention. An astonishing departure from tradition, Brits are also moved to tears when this clip is televised.

you couldnt be more wrong friend, as a former US Marine me and my fellow Marines used to talk about terrorism around the world and to a man all of us said we would defend Britian in a heart beat if they needed us. When the shit hits the fan we will always be there. That said a lil healthy ribbing is always in order its part of our tradition as friends and allies you fuckin wankers lol just kidding. And no I would never laugh at this its mooving and appreciated and most all the folks I know agree
funny thing is Americans love the whole royal family thing, we just cant get enough of it. I dont pay much attention to it myself but the royals are followed closely in the states. Im planning my first trip to the UK soon and my wife and I are really looking forward to gettin back to the mother land, peace
And what makes you think that? You know, we Americans aren't such uncouth people as you may have been lead to believe. Sure, there are idiots here in America, but it's the same all over the world, no matter where you go.
I for one, greatly appreciate this kind expression from the UK.
