This shows a 1993 Z32 300zx nissan idling after a plenum pull and bypass. High idle at ~1500 RPM. Stillen headers are also installed. Smoke from engine bay is from a little spilled oil on the cam covers during the oil change.

  • What does this mean? My 90 z32 always idles at 800-900. And recently it started to Idle at 1500-1600? I dont think its normal.

  • @Carlijawan The problem with my idle was that the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) and the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) were not tuned to their correct base level. After disconnecting the TPS, then Adjusting the IACV down (turn clockwise) all was good again. Check the Factory service manual or 300zx websites for more info :-)
