This is Clay Koshs video part from Something Mental. In my opinion, it is the best part. I have heard several agree with me on this. The level of technical tricks in this video part is incredible. I have even heard its backlash with some claiming the tricks look so hard that they must not be fun at all. Sure, they were tough but to me and Clay trying to film a manual trick all day is so much more fun than hucking yourself off of a 20 stair gap. Plus, dudes that do manuals are few and far between and I was always stoked on that. That being said, some tricks took days, some took under 5 tries. The ender trick took days and days. The switch nose manual fakie flip out around the c-ledge took about 6 tries.
Clay was originally supposed to skate to One to Grow On by the UMCs but I used it in another edit I made. Eventually we found this track by The Bees and were super stoked on it, not to mention the fact that it had Texas in the lyrics.
Overall, Clay has the best part to me. It was the part I worked the hardest on though. Clay filmed for this video since day one and had a lot of input as to how it was presented. To reach the end of the song, there were a few tricks we had to use that we hated (crook manny kickflip and hardflip manny 180), but overall we were both super hyped on how his part came out. A lot of hard work. Enjoy.
Also notice the Jedi wave in the opening line. Epic.
i wished where i lived there were good spots like that =/
