his episode was actually inspired by local events that were current... well... about three months ago. For those of you that don't live in San Francisco, or don't read the paper, or just have a short-term memory, there were a couple of cases back in the summer where children were mauled by pit bulls... This was mostly a result of jackasses who had no idea of how to raise either animals or children, but in response Mayor Newson declared that he was pushing for state approval to make breed-specific legislation. The overwhelming fear was that pit bulls were going to be outright banned, much as they were in Colorado. Mayor Newsom assured everyone that there wasn't going to be a ban, only restrictions on certain dog breeds, and in the end... Well, nothing actually happened at all. In fact, nobody's even mentioned it in at least two months... Anyways, that was the inspiration for this second episode, which is already somewhat dated even before its premiere... It is a two-parter, so you'll have to wait until next month to see what happens to poor li'l 'Don Chalupa'...
