  • It's a little sad to look back on this. Even then, Country music was dying, but then a legend would get onstage and tear the house down. Now there aren't as many legends still with us and the music has died a little more, but every time one of them steps up to sing, a little spark of what used to be comes back. And just for a moment, nobody cares about Rascal Flatts or Taylor Swift because a REAL country singer just rocked their world.

  • I agree with all the comments. Thanks Gaylord for screwing up country music....

  • I am Big Jim Webb's daughter and I am looking for pictures or video's of him.

  • I'm great friends with Big Jim's son who plays the steel too and he's great like his dad was. Thanks for posting this video...it was great to see his dad play.

  • @jpeanrkode Amen. RIP Del

  • Hey Will Shouse, this is Hartley. I just noticed your reply from a year ago. I sent an email to you, I hope you got it. Get back with me if you can.

mleblanc.35, Good Time Charlies was the name of Del's band for all his touring days.

  • @heywilbur Hey Will, you could be right, it might be "80 & "81. Anyway, I just noticed your responce from a year ago. Hope you're doing well, let's try to get in touch.

  • We don't have any real country music any more.

These people are the last unless George happens

to be seen some place or hear a record on some radio station of one of the older people.

.OR hear one of the people on You Tube Face some one who likes real music.

  • wheres good time charlies?

  • @heywilbur Will...is that you from Indiana?? (Shouse)

  • Will Shouse, is that you?? The piano man from the touring group?

  • @jbrentscott Gaylord didn't have anything to do with it, in fact their WSM is one of the few pure country stations left in the US. The music died, and the record producers kept seeing lower and lower sales, and in effect, these "new country" guys have been just that.. a way of expanding on the traditional sounds with a new sound all their own. If it don't sell, you're not going to hear it on radio or at the record stores.
