My opinion on the top 15 video games of all time.
BEFORE YOU COMMENT:
I know perfectly well that some of the music doesn't match. Some of the games, like Lost Kingdoms or Dragon Warrior Monsters, are somewhat obscure, and as such, I couldn't find the music for them. Most of the songs are from the Brawl soundtrack, in case you're wondering. Also, before you say "OMG WHERES HALO AND HALF LIFE U N00B!!!11!!!11" keep this in mind: I don't like shooters or racing games too much, and as a result, I like Nintendo systems more than the Play Stations or the XBoxes.
Ok, that's all. Comment with you're opinions.
15. Lost Kingdoms
A unique battle system, a well-written storyline and an absorbing atmosphere make this one of the few exceptional RPG's on the Gamecube.
14. Final Fantasy IV
The graphics push the DS to the limit, and the epic storyline and classic FF fighting make this a necessity for any DS owner.
13. Mario Kart: Double Dash
The innovative driving system and perfected drifting mechanism makes this my favorite in the Mario Kart series.
12. Dragon Warrior Monsters
This overlooked gem has charming visuals, plenty of creative freedom, and most importantly, the largest and most diverse breeding/perfecting scheme of any game in it's class.
11. Donkey Kong Country
A wonderful platformer with excellent level design and absorbing music.
10. Pokemon Red/Blue
The first in this immensely popular series boasted straight-to-the-point battling, without all of the hassle required for all of the future titles, as well as some of the most fun glitches to exploit of any game, in addition to a wonderful battle system and a huge amount of diversity and options to mess with.
9. Golden Sun
Above all, this game is harder and more fulfilling than most RPG's, and has amazing puzzle design, sometimes trapping you in a dungeon for hours at a time until you find the secret.
8. Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Obviuosly, this game has wonderful graphics, a huge amount of game options, tons of features, hundreds of classic songs... Well, I could go on, but I don't think I have to.
7. Super Mario Brothers 3
The pinnacle of 2D platforming had a challenging-yet-forgiving difficulty, dozens of well designed levels, and provided a base for years of platformers to come.
6. Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime had some of the most atmospheric visuals and music of any game of all time, plenty of weapons to play with, and is one of the few games to make it easy and dun to solve puzzles and jump gaps from a first-person view.
5. Skies of Arcadia Legends
Another overlooked Gamecube RPG, this has a wonderful world-travelling system allowing you to explore and find discoveries, a familiar-yet-unique battle system, and a wonderful storyline that can really tug at the ol' heartstrings.
4. Kirby Superstars
The highlight of Kirby's career, this adventure/platformer providers hours of fun in a sprawling world, even to a beginner, and classic minigames that are small but memorable.
3. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
With over 30 playable characters each with thier own background and features, more than enough ways to customize your units, plenty of maps, and a wonderfully written plotline, its as close to RPG perfefction as the Wii has gotten.
2. Super Mario 64
Mario's first escapade in 3D is his best, giving you wonderful and charming graphics, highly polished gameplay mechanics, and an amazing soundtrack, along with many other things, too many to count.
1. Zelda: Ocarania of Time
Even though it's a cop-out answer, OOT is pretty much a given, considering no other game has given you such a wonderful plot without skimping on gameplay features or graphics. Every aspect of this game is as good as gaming gets.
Thanks for watching!
