  • what is the voltage that the BLMA signals take? and what resistors did you use? ac or DC for the signal?

  • @drewzdrew27 used 2-2.2 volts resistor for 12 v power. the power is a 1.5-12volt ac adapter from radio shack. any suggestions.

  • Those look great! Im about to start on the signaling on my layout and it all seems pretty confusing...

  • @NSmodeler24 hey thanks appreciate the comment. my camera doesn't really do them justice but they are really great.and you are right i am not really good with the electrical so it is pretty confusing but i think once i do get one it gets easier each time. its always the first one.

  • Part 2: After you have checked the correct configuration then try another wiring scenario. Get Circuitron Application Note AN-6000-7 and wire it as per the diagram using the panel lights as the signal lights. Hope some of this helps.

  • It seems your really close but as you said, something is amiss. Power is coming in at pin 5 of the switch machine through pins 6 or 7 to the lights then to one resistor then to ground? It almost sounds like the green LED is wired to the wrong side. Make sure both are wired to the same side of the diode (short or long) matching green with how the red is wired. LEDs, like any diode only allow current in 1 direction. Part 2 follows;

  • Just as an observation, that single signal protecting movement through the switches from single track to those three, usually are protected by a dual or triple signal heads on the signal mast, BLMA makes the dual headed signal, that may help you out??

    It is YOUR layout so my opinion is nothing more than an opinion, so whatever you do works and those signals look great btw!
