There are different ways to make a local Wamp WordPress site go live, this is how we do it.

It creates a clone with no third party utilities and no messing with php databases etc. either.

(Notice at 3:10 when it says that you have to copy and paste the sql database in a txt file, because saving the database is not possible, that's a mistake, it was because "Save as a file" wasn't checked! Make sure to check "save as a file" and also, with large databases, check "gzipped" so the file will be smaller in case you have to upload it).

With http://ahead-hosting.com we create, host and support HIGH quality and ready to use affiliate marketing websites for the most profitable niches.

Your own online business with unlimited potential which you can run immediately after the purchase and with very little investment (from $25!!).

We offer a growing selection mostly related to profitable niches and capable of generating profit through affiliate programs, advertisement and e-commerce, but also suitable for those in need of a easily customizable website at a fraction of the price often necessary for a bespoke design.

  • Looks like something bad happened when exporting the database, please repeat the export again. The procedure works, we do that all the time.

  • Thanks fr this tutotial... ive been tryin very hard to get a tutorial lik this.

  • Thank you very much for sharing this video.

  • Sorry, i had created the subdirectory with capital letters /TEMP1/, and for the db wp_options i put /temp1/.

    I think its solved

  • I followed every step you did, was successful the whole way through but cannot access wp-admin, i get the following:

The requested URL /temp1/wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Apache/2.2.14 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.14 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635

  • Thankyou so much for this video, i followed another couple of tutorials and had little to no success.. i havent finished uploading my zip file yet, but im hoping that this process is as straight forward as what you show, i believe it will be. I will leave comment, once successful!

  • I followed the instructions to the T but when it came time to import the local database to cpanel...I kept getting an error: SQL query:

    { \ rtf1 \ ansi \ ansicpg1252 \ cocoartf949 \ cocoasubrtf540{ \ fonttbl \ f0 \ fswiss \ fcharset0 Helvetica;

    MySQL said:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\cocoartf949\cocoasubrtf540

    {\fonttbl\f0\fswiss\fcharset0' at line 1

  • Great video! Thanks alot. It helped me getting started with Wamp server and then uploading to the site!
