@jrcasselman You have to have a LOT of suspension of disbelief in post-apocalyptic fiction. It's doubtful that any place would really be livable. :P

Awesome! An underrated 70's action film with William Smith as the villain and Yul Brynner.

Here is the clincher. New York's subway tunnels are below the surface of the rivers and require continuous pumping to keep them dry. In this post apocalyptic setting, they would have been flooded long ago.

The idea of Yul Brenner in a battle of strength with William Smith is laughable.

@Rich711
Can't argue with that. WIlliam Smith is a brutal cromagnon warlord who could rip out Yul Brunner's heart and EAT it with his bare hands.
In fairness though, the battle of strength was against gravity, really, and not Smith

I knew they'd be worthless! Fukn EPIC and timeless....
William Smith is a genuine cromagnon barbarian warlord, absolutely perfect casting. And Yul Brunner kicks arse and chews bubblegum in this film, I lost count of how many people he ventilates with that little knife. An awesome movie, even if I do say so me-self
