Because I have fun doing it! I upload it to YT to show others my tech capabilites, and also for novelty. Its a hobby as well as a professional excercise.

isn't it a convention for trailers to be for, y'know, an actual film that will at some point exist? why bother making it, and especially upload it to youtube, if the film's never gonna be made?

The trailer exists, but, there is no film behind it. A trailer for the sake of it. The footage used is sourced from my film 'My Student Film' and was merely recut.
