well, i go to Cornell, and our midterms are about 30-40 percent multiple choice. I personally think that multiple choice ones are harder, because they only give you one chance to get it right. It's like, which one of these structures is the most electrophilic or which one of these molecules are most basic. There's no partial credit even though you know half of the question, so i think it's pretty difficult.
