Love at first sight!

I don't know if you would have seen the show when it first appeared, 'hansakalie'. Its network competition, at 9pm(et) on Thursdays, was Richard Chamberlain's "DR. KILDARE" [the second half-hour] on NBC and Allen Ludden's "PASSWORD" on CBS. However, "BEWITCHED" quickly eclipsed BOTH of them to become the #1 series in its time period, and started a trend towards other "supernatural" comedies on the other networks the followng season ["I DREAM OF JEANNIE", "THE SMOTHERS BROTHERS SHOW"].

You are right, Liz was getting ready in her room which would have been around 10:30 west coast time and she her Bill scream out on no, and Liz went to see what was wrong, and they thought it was best like you said to keep going on. Bill helped arrange the birthday party were Ms Monroe sang to JFK.

Thanks for posting. I am just now discovering Bewitched. I was not alive when It was on the TV originally.

This segment was originally seen in the 1964 fall preview presentation shown to local station managers and executives at a special ABC affiliate meeting before the new season began.

The cast of Bewitched was scheduled to rehearse for the pilot on 11/22/63, but canceled due to the assassination of JFK, who was good friends with director/producer William Asher.
Correction....They decided NOT to cancel, as Bill felt that was what JFK would have wanted them to do. According to Bill, everyone showed up as scheduled, and it was like they just all needed to be there together that day.
