Yes, djamo, the Left always gets a pass because it always operates under special circumstances: Teddy Kennedy's "Macaca" gaffe, Helen Thomas's anti-Semitism, Harry Reid's "Negro dialect" comment, Cokie Roberts wishing AIDS on Rush Limbaugh, Chris ("I forgot he's black...") Matthews, or Jesse Jackson muttering that he wanted to cut Obama's nuts off... All would result in a conservative being run out of town on a rail, but the mainstream media went deaf and blind. Everyone who got so bent out of shape at Wilson must surely be hopping mad at the unidentified Democratic lawmaker who muttered, "Fuck the president," at a closed door Dem session on Dec. 9, 2010. Clinton handed Bush a $500B surplus and took that and turned it into a $1.7 Trn deficit. He also raised our national debt by $5Tn. Nevermind that we are now feeling the effects of this but the radical right are worried about illegals now? It was Bush, et al who wanted them in so that his wealthy cronies paid for cheaper labor while they took the money back to Mexico. They simple don't care about Americans, our country or our troops. It' all about them & what they can get out of it.

Speaking of Thurmond, Wilson denounced as a smear the true claim of a black woman that she was the daughter of Strom Thurmond. The right' shrieking lunacy & their frantic efforts to label our first black president as the Other, a foreigner, socialist, fascist, Marxist, racist, Commie, Nazi; a cad who would snuff old people; a snake who would indoctrinate kids — had much to do with race.
