Since so many people have asked us where to go to get quality ingredients for the best price, we decided to do a true price comparison between three grocery stores in our area: Safeway, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods Market.

Watch our video to see the shocking results!

  • @elidonus - sorry to tell you that NONE of those items that we picked (just everyday items) had a special club price. The numbers dont lie - they do not discount the organic products as a rule of thumb in my experience. Thanks for your comment and feedback!

  • Nobody shops Safeway without a club card. Your results are skewed as a result. WF is cheaper for greens but you didn't have much of that either. Organic veggies and fruits should be the bulk of your shopping. This video sucks.

  • here in nyc, whole foods market is the most expensive organic store. i thought that trader joe's is the cheapest one.

  • It shows RIGHT on the bottom of your Safeway receipt!!!!

I can SEE where it says "your club savings would be approx..." and the amount is covered.

That wouldn't be there if there weren't some savings! And some of the prices for O organics seem high, here in AZ they are lower.

Educate yourself before you try to "educate" others.

  • free jammy recipes for babies and they can share with their mamas or daddas or aunties or other relatives and friends:

jam = smooshed fruit + pinch of salt + lime juice + sugar, spread on white or wheat bread and toast in toaster oven, add peanut butter = peanut + butter + sugar + salt (do not eat peanut butter if allergic to peanuts!)

  • Natures Promise is cheapest because Stop n Shop is conveniently in walking distance in well populated areas, saves on gas

  • this is wrong. trader joes is the cheapest. wrong wrong wrong

  • Very interesting! I find that Whole Foods is a good value except when I pick up shoes, clothing and beauty products. I have to avoid that tempting middle section.

  • Loved the video. I keep trying to tell people about Whole Foods having more reasonably priced stuff than other stores but they never seem to believe me. They also have more of a choice than other stores do and seem to get new products in more often.

  • Thank you for doing this! Made a believer out of me.
