House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) discussed the stark differences between GOP and Democratic candidates for President on Daybreak (USA Radio). Full quote:
"While these primaries are far from over, there's one thing that's pretty clear: I think there are stark differences between the Democrats that are running for President and the Republicans that are running for President. And if you look at the Democrats, you know by and large their proposals are pretty similar: they're for higher taxes, bigger government, government-run health care, and frankly they've been weak on national security.
"And Republicans, on the other hand, I think have offered plans to allow Americans to keep more of their own money; to make health care more available, affordable, and portable, without handing it over to government bureaucrats; and it's clear that there's been more focus on keeping America safe from threats both abroad and at home.
"So I think the Republican vision is one that is positive and optimistic -- it's based on freedom and security -- while the Democrats seem to see only a failed America, one in which we need to pay higher taxes, depend on bigger government, and withdraw from the world stage.
