This video will show you how to wire an AM16/32 multiplexer to a CR1000 datalogger. The AM16/32 multiplexer is used to expand the number of analogue input channels on our CR800, CR1000, CR3000 and CR5000 data loggers. It allows up to 32 sensors to be sequentially measured on one measurement channel. To see how to write a program for this wiring setup, look for our Multiplexer Programming Video.

  • Thanks for the comment! Yes cutting our existing cabling into lengths will work fine, they don't have to be equal lengths either (although this will make the wiring neater).

  • Thank you for posting this.. very helpful! I know you said using any wire is fine, just want to be certain though; I used your 18 awg stranded wire.. I just cut 6 equal lengths from it and used those.. but before I power up, I want to be sure it's ok.. is it? Thanks!
