This podcast introduces visitors to the amazing White Sands National Monument in southern New Mexico, about 45 minutes east of Las Cruces. The park comprises 275 square miles of glistening white gypsum sand dunes, which is by far the largest gypsum dune field in the world. Visitors can enjoy the park in a variety of ways, such as hiking, sledding, camping, bicycling, picnicking, or participating in ranger-led educational activities. This podcast was produced by Explore! New Mexico for the Las Cruces Convention and Visitors Bureau.
