isabeats...i was living in SF from 1973 till about 1979. I used to hang out with Don Vinil of the Offs and photographer Rico and Cindy Crayon etc. I moved to NYC in 79.
Oh, and the Sound of Music, where I saw Flipper probably 20 times. Part of the "pet rock" scene: with Animal Things, the Wild Nixons, the Duck Revolution, Lassie Go Fuck, etc.
dogmatic- We may have run into each other. I was at all those shows. Temple Beautiful, 330 Grove Street, the Mab, the Deaf Club, the Pit, that Indian place near the Deaf Club, etc. Those were great times.
I saw the Sleepers (and later the Toiling Midgets) regularly when I lived in SF. The only other singer as good as Ricky was Paul, of the Woundz. Another great but more obscure band. Ricky died. Drugs, I think.
Awesome....I was at that concert...the Coal Miners Benefit! All the best Cali punk bands played that night. I still have the poster from it somewhere.
hello mike hope all is well

Hi, I'm Ricky's ex and mother to our son, Zack. Ricky died of an accidental overdose on 11/21/1992. We still miss his crazy ass a great deal. :)
