My 18th Birthday on the Roaring Camp & Big Trees Railroad

18 on the 18th!! For my 18th Birthday, we visited the Roaring Camp and Big Trees railroad for the first time in 8 years. And the first time in my life that I got to do 2 of my favorite things.
The Santa Cruz area is one of my favorite places to visit, but one thing I don't like about it is 2 of my favorite things are down there, the Boardwalk and the trains. And when I visit for a day or 2, its one or the other.
But since it was my Birthday, we did both. Unfortunetly the Beach trains were not running at this time so we still couldn't to that, but I think its better than doing one or the other, don't you.

When we went up to Roaring Camp about 3 years ago now(that was the first time we visited that place for about another 3 years before that, and also the last for another 4), they crew was wiping down the Dixiana's smokebox with a rag, but the crewman left it on there and it caught on fire! It just shows how hot these engines can get!
