This is my first DIY project in a series I'm going to be doing. Today I made a couple of those really cute feather hair clips that you find in forever 21 and urban outfitters. The total for each clip came to $3.99. Can't beat it!

This is the link to the original videos I found for this project. I sort of combined both videos into my own trial and error vlog =]

  • love the picture behinde u of the ballerina with 5position

  • @Lovelyczech one of my fav works of art!

  • To put the jewels on to anything. At Michaels they sale jewerly glue just for that stuff. You also can use tacky glue which is also sold at Michaels. One more thing. I see you got the Jolee jewels and that brand also sales a glue. It should be right with the jewels. I work at Micheals so I am being a nerd/expert right now.. lol

  • @Nita253 the michaels by my house is awful... no one will help you. i bet this project would have been way better if i had some help!

  • if you want to add gemstones with a hot glue gun, i recommend using tweasers to hold the gem.

  • @beemacbee Hindsight is 20/20 lol

  • I love your idea of the video. Lol. Your hairclips did not turn out as nice. BUT...Guess I should not judge until I actually try it. :)

  • There is a center bar inside of the barrette that is removable. If you pop it out, the barrette will work much better.

  • @DanielleinDepth how much was that big bag of single feathers?

  • @christine0430 that's how they had it pinned up in the store!

  • @prettywife123456789 then why would you sit through the entire video? who's lame-er?

  • @bigcuate then don't watch

  • @maddiegal20 yep... i've never actually worn these because i made them too big. should have done a cute headband

  • @wierdolovezyew the peacock one was pretty expensive because they just use the feathers that are discarded from the bird. it was $7 or $8

  • @jailbait666 i didn't murder anything. the package of the feathers said they use discarded feathers only.
