@Lebnaaan If you use it regularly, then it should be fine. I can't see a manual being parked many times without the parking lever up at least once in a while.

@Lebnaaan usually if you don't use your hand brake a lot i.e. an automatic especially an older car, yes you can damage the linkage and or stretch the cable out and it could get stuck engaged. Happened to my friends 85 iroc Z

You know, lots of cars have 6th and 7th gears, so 5th gear is kinda slow.
