  • As little as Dawayne may have fit in with Chicago, I still think the line-up with himself and Tris Imboden was the best post-Terry Kath line-up as far as live performance. And, This composition demonstrates Dawayne's skill as both a guitarist and a writer. He's unbelievable, and there's more to him (in my opinion) than some of his contemporaries.

Okay, Keith Howland is a wonderful guitarist, and I dig him. But, Dawayne Bailey strived to bring something different to Chicago. My hat's off.

  • reminds me of seeing his concert at the manhattan junior high, doing all of the classic hendrix( jimi was still alive then), and out at the bowling alley home,,,,, congrats on the high school wall,,,, reminds me of frank sinatra saying, and when they give you an award , you should show up, ,ring a ding ding,,,,,,,some people forgot like kanye at grammys because he is still afraid of taylor

  • Kinda' like Dawayne's version of Terry's Free Form Guitar.

  • he was my favorite guitarist when I was a child

  • @dredayak18 @NetoResendiz, check out starkravingagency for Dawayne's upcoming shows.

  • awesome

  • HI!! were is playing Dawayne bailey now? beautiful sounds! cheers!!

  • No doubt Dawayne gets a ton of influence from Eddie V Halen and David Gilmour. I appreciate all the work of Terry and Dawayne. I play guitar because of those 2 guys. Lets just say this, 70's live Chicago with Terry is some of the best music your gonna find, and 89-94 Chicago with Dawayne is a close second in my opinion.

  • @Supermonkey22 I'm not surprised at all. I just wish I could've seen them live during the early 90's with Dawayne and Tris. From all the archive footage I've seen of those years, that was the best post-Kath lineup. And, I bet Dawayne's sound would've driven me to pick up a guitar, rather than Clapton's.

  • @CircleCityEric Hat's off to your post. I first saw Dawayne with Chicago in 89' for the "Heart's In Trouble" tour and thought it was AMAZING!!! His blistering solo during "Stay The Night" had people going bonkers.
