Here's the opening to the February 24, 1992 edition of "The Journal" with Barbara Frum, who by this point was very frail-looking. She would die one month later after interviewing Mordecai Richler.

The tape ran out in this video.

  • I met Barbara's daughter at a book signing. I was seriously stunned at the news when Barbara died because she was such a class act

  • Every time I read David Frum I think of Barbara....thanks for posting...

  • Barbara Frum was very good, she was believable and professional. But I did find her stand-offish, not a warm endearing type of person. A little too stiff.

  • Barbara Frum was my hero! I watched the Journal religiously! Barbara would not let anyone have the last word! I think my favorite interview was with Stevie Wonder. The interview with Mordecai Richler was very good as well! It can be seen at cbc.ca Thanks for sharing this and for sharing the memories of Barbara.
