I often get asked why I live and work in Brazil. Many people who know me through the various wilderness survival boards that I post on wonder what I do. As I state in my profile I am a Baptist missionary with a passion for the wilderness. This short pictorial shows the rest of the story of the work we do in Brazil. Wilderness ministry is and will always be a big part of my life but that is only part of the total picture. My real passion is to work with young people. Many of the kids we work with in Brazil live in very dangerous neighborhoods dominated by the drug trade. Most of the kids in these photos have lost friends and loved ones to drug violence. Our ministry is focused on giving them an alternative.
It is our desire to return to Brazil as soon as possible. We will be here in the US as long as it takes to raise the support we need to continue our work in Belo Horizonte. Mac,...eu não entendo inglês embora sou filho de pais,..teacher's,...mais pelas fotos deu para ver o seu trabalho. Parabéns ! Creio que quando jovens tem alguma atividade esportiva ligada a igreja, (próximo a ela),...ele automaticamente se afasta das ruas,...das drogas e das más companhias,....Sem contar aqueles que vem para o esporte e acabam conhecendo a igreja,...Que o senhor nosso DEUS te guie,.. a frente do teu rebanho,...lhe dando sabedoria em executar o seu trabalho evangelista.
