How is he using keening and sunder without wraithguard? I thought you cant equip those 2 if you dont have wraithguard?

Does anyone know if they patched the damage you take from sunder/keening since this run? I'm using whatever the most recent version is & I can replicate the run except I die from 1 mortal wound (100 dmg) whereas this guy survives the 1 mortal wound plus I think a hit from dagon, we have the same HP at the end.
