was it a costom? and if so, did the headstock have a strange torch design on it?
-
@nathan2rock I don't know. You might wanna try going on the Electra Guitar forums or the Electra web page
-
@calebthomas28 What about the electra tree of life sg?
-
@nathan2rock '72 Super Rocks because that was the first year the SLM models were released and there were only a handful that matsumoku manufactured in '72
-
@calebthomas28 what electra guitars are valued over $100,000
-
@ekserchina yeah man, Matsumoku was the shit.
-
@calebthomas28 I feel ya. I figured it would be the camera. Still better then the Epiphone crap they make today.
-
@ekserchina trust me it must be the amp or the camera. i have a '72 SLM Electra Les Paul, a bit older than the one in the video, but nonetheless my guitar has an amazingly unique tone. you would love it. i don't have a camera at the moment, or a high quality microphone, but when i get either of those things i will show you how that guitar should really sound. there are only 28 2242 super rocks in black ('72 model) that still exist. every electra model is rare, and some are valued over $100,000

Damn man what is it with the sound. Maybe your amp? I'm not diggin' it for some weird reason. I thought I would. I got this High end Magnum from the 70's that came with original dimarzios that sounds way better then this. No offense I just expected more which I probably shouldn't.

i have a 1970 electra slm
Is that one of the bolt ons or does it have a set neck?

I remember it being a set-neck. Most high end, later model Electras had set necks.
