Think about this, make a barely useable but endearing operating system that is widely available to the unpicky, such as otakus. Said otakus then spent too much time lookking at anime girls online and their delusions became reality in the form of...Windows-tan!

@Hoshimaru57 no, OS-TAN are created by Futaba Channel, when they discussed about Windows ME because of Frequent Crashes and BSOD'S.Then they got this idea, a personification of Windows ME as a green ponytail-haired little girl in a maid uniform with the attitude of Fickle and Troublesome which represents the Problems on ME. After ME, they also created OS-tan on Other versions of Windows (Except 7).

Every time I see these, I think it's a darn shame we can't pull off what happens in "A.I. Love You" where the A.I. "comes to life" and gains the ability to manifest in the real world. I think my life would certainly be more interesting if my laptop's Windows OS could manifest as an OS-tan.
